Pope Francis visits women enslaved into human trafficking

Pope Francis has surprised prostitutes past 20 visited on a tour of surprise on their homes with protection in Roma.  As he spoke to the women, some of whom were transported from Africa and other parts of Europe, for over an hour.

According to BBC, he was with the women who were rescued from brothels where they had been captured by his grown man now sold as prostitutes and were given shelter and protection in an apartment building owned by the Catholic church in the Italian capital. 

The women were from Nigeria, Romania and Albania. He listened to their stories of how they are forced into prostitution. With promises of jobs, doing human trafficking brings women Italy and other western European countries, but later imposed upon entering prostitution.

Pope Francis encouraged the former prostitutes to “be consistent” when they start a new life with the help of the center of Pope Pope John XXIII.
