‘Make Me Sing’ by Diamond and AKA to premiere on MTV Base this Friday

In recent years Tanzanian artists have boosted the local music industry by not only collaborating with each other but also work hand in hand with artists from other parts of the continent.

When South African rapper, AKA came to Dar for Zari All White party last year, the crowd was filled with so much hype by his presence and he left us wanting him to stay a little longer.

His visit was a result of one of the hottest hip hop collaborations in Africa. He was featured in ‘Don’t Bother’ by our very own Joh Makini. His fans were still expecting him to make more hits with Tanzanian artists.

It’s the time when he also recorded a song with Diamond. This Friday, Diamond Platnumz will release his collaboration with the South African hip hop king. The song is dubbed ‘Make Me Sing.’

Yes I know how you are feeling, so impatient and excited to know what these artists have in store for us. It is obvious that Diamond has been working several times with African superstars like Waje, Davido, Flavour, Iyanya, Mafikizolo and more but my views on this collaboration is that it is going to be a massive hit.

I mean it is about time we get used to the fact when anyone works with Diamond; the song receives enormous accolades and superb comments.

This is because Diamond is always ready to try something new with other artists. He knows how to strategize his releases and to give his fans exactly what they want! No wonder you can see red colors all over Instagram and hashtags like #12022016 and #Umojawetuupondaniyadamu. This is exactly what we expect in this collaboration.

As for AKA, we have all given him thumbs up for how he spits and he is one the best emcees that South Africa has ever had. He leaves us all stunned and we all enjoy it. This rap king has never let us down especially on his collaborations.

He may have only worked with one of our own but he has not decided to let it end there. In fact, he has made an excellent choice to team up with Diamond who is one of the biggest African superstars.

Neither of them is a disappointment because they are known to be very hardworking, self driven, competitive, sociable and their artistry is impeccable.

I am impressed with the fact that AKA has taken another step to collaborate with a Tanzanian artist. I trust these two have created a hit that will turn us all wild! We can’t wait to watch the video this Friday.
