Steve Nyerere carrying Kanumba's cross
Thousands of people came to pay their final respects to Steven Kanumba today during the final mass held this morning at Leaders Grounds in Dar es Salaam. We have not seen a funeral of this magnitude since the passing of our beloved Father of the Nation, the late Julius Kambarage Nyerere.
The late Kanumba touched the lives of many through his movies, and this was displayed today where the pain and sadness in the city of Dar es Salaam and across the country was almost tangible.
