DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Dubai opened the world's tallest skyscraper Monday in a blaze of fireworks, then added a final flourish: It renamed the half-mile-high tower for the head of neighboring Abu Dhabi, whose billions bailed out Dubai amid last year's financial crisis.

The Ivorian national team faced the JK Boys yesterday night at the uhuru national stadium and would have gone to Angola with their heads down had it not been for Drogba's header at the 37th minute. Taifa Stars played a confident game and maintained the possession of the ball most of the time with a few chances to score.

Mzee Rashid Mfaume Kawawa was laid to rest at his home, Madale, along his deceased wife Sofia Kawawa. The ceremony was attended by President Jakaya Kikwete alongside top government officials, prominennt politicians, relatives, neighbors, press, JKT and mourners

Mzee Kawawa has left behind 15 children, 36 grand-children and 3 great-grand-children. In his honor 19 cannons were fired. God rest his soul in peace

Why something like this should happen in democratic state like Tanzania still doesn't ring a bell in the ear? Where is the freedom of press then? The Ivory Coast national team 'Les Elephants' landed in the country on Saturday night under tight security such that the Media was denied coverage
