Dear women of the African diaspora,
Please love the natural beauty God blessed us with. It says in Psalm 139:14 that I (we) are fearfully and wonderfully made. When I see black women trying to imitate European standards of so-called beauty it nauseates me. So do me a favor save the zebra and horse tails from extinction and wear your natural hair. Locks, twists, afros, nubian knots, braids, and beautiful head scarves are what comes to mind. Afterall, we have lots of choices ladies. Let's define our own beauty standards!
Lastly, please stop using that mkorogo (skin lighteners). It makes you look like ulifarikai dunia. Like that mwanamuziki, Asha Baraka. She is very talented, and could be really beautiful if she took that stuff off of her face. You wanawake are breaking your necks trying to look Europeanized and still couldn't win the coveted title of representing your own nchi.
Peace, love and freedom,
Bibi Uhuru
P.S. And don't write me talking about Tanzania is none of my business. Mume yangu ni mtanzania and it is very much my business as you are my people.
